From Banca Vonwiller to Banque Morval,
a banker’s life story linking Switzerland and Italy.

1819   Nicolas Vonwiller, a merchant from Burgdorf (near Bern, Switzerland) establishes in Milan a commercial bank bearing his name.
1954   The Zanon di Valgiurata family becomes a shareholder.
1967   Morgan Guaranty Trust enters the capital, the bank becomes Banca Morgan Vonwiller.
1974   Takeover of Italian activities by Credito Romagnolo. The Zanon di Valgiurata family creates Morval, an asset management company in Switzerland.
1989   The asset management company becomes Banque Morval, having obtained a banking license.
