- Christian MERLE - Presidente
Christian Merle is graduated of Sciences Po Paris and holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Paris I (Panthéon Sorbonne).
After few years serving in various roles in banking supervisory authorities in France, he has held senior management positions in various European banking groups.
He now works as a strategic consultant for corporate clients and sits as an independent member on several Boards of Directors.
He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Morval Vonwiller Holding SA and of Banque Morval SA.
He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo Private Bank (Suisse) SA.
- Massimiliano ZANON - Vice-Presidente
Massimiliano Zanon is graduated from the University of Turin with a degree in Economics. He has held a number of senior positions in the banking and finance industry throughout his career. His current appointments include: Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Morval Vonwiller Holding SA (as Chairman until beginning of April 2018); Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Morval SA (as Chairman until beginning of April 2018), and he serves of the Boards of other collective schemes incorporated in the Cayman Islands, Malta and Luxembourg.
- Luc ARGAND - Membro
Luc J. ARGAND passed the Geneva's Bar exam in 1974, after having graduated from Geneva University. In 1976, he obtained a master degree of business and administration from the Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD / Paris). After having been trained in a bank he has spent several years for the Rothschild Group, he then joined the Law Firm De Pfyffer|Avocats in Geneva as Partner in 1982. He was President of the Geneva Bar Association between 1996 and 1998. Since 1986, he is member of the Board of Directors of Morval Vonwiller Holding SA (as Vice-Chairman until beginning of April 2018); member of the Board of Directors of Banque Morval SA (as Vice-Chairman until beginning of April 2018) and Chairman of the Pension Fund Institution of Morval group. Since 1993, he is Administrator at Edmond de Rothschild bank (Suisse) S.A., at Holding EdR S.A. (since 2017) and at Company “Benjamin Edmond de Rothschild Pregny S.A.”. He was between 1998 and 2006 member of the High Council of the Geneva Magistrates Since 2007, he chairs the Board of Directors at Banque Syz & Co S.A., Geneva. Among others mandates, he is since 1990 Arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS), President of the Geneva Motor Show between July 2005 and September 2011, sits since 2011 as Vice-President of PALEXPO S.A., he is also administrator of YAFA S.p.A. Torino since 2005. Since 2011, he is President of the Survey Commission of the Geneva Public Notaries. Finally, he was President of the “Cercle du Grand Théâtre de Genève” between 2012 and 2017. Mr Argand is specialized in Business Law, Banking Law, Trust and Estates, International Taxation, Arbitration and Sports Law.
- Paola ANGELETTI - Membro
Paola Angeletti graduated cum laude in Economics at Bocconi University.
Before joining the Intesa Group, she worked in advisory and corporate finance in a consultancy firm and then in a UK investment bank.
Ms Angeletti has held various positions of responsibility in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group starting from 1995.
Since 2015 Paola is the Head of Group M&A in Intesa Sanpaolo and has completed a number of transactions, disposals and acquisitions relating to banks, financial and operating companies in Italy and abroad.
Since 2013 she is a member of the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo Private Bank (Suisse) SA and since 2016 she is a Member of the Technical Consulting Committee for the Voluntary Scheme of the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund.
Since April 2018, Ms Angeletti is also member of the Board of Directors of Morval Vonwiller Holding SA and of Banque Morval SA.
- Christophe VELLE - Membro
Christophe Velle graduated in Public Law at the University of Metz in 1998. Mr. Velle has held various positions of responsibility in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group from 1999 when he took over the role of Head of Domiciliation & Administration at Société Européenne de Banque until 2006. Since 2006 Mr. Velle is CEO & General Manager of Intesa Sanpaolo Holding International S.A. in Luxembourg, top holding company in control of the Group's strategic ownership of foreign banks.
Mr. Velle also holds the position of Director in various companies / banks of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group: Chairman of ISP Servitia (Luxembourg) and of Private Equity International S.A. (Luxembourg), member of the Supervisory Board and Audit & Risk Committee of PBZ (Croatia), member of the BoD of Banca Intesa Zao (Russia), Fideuram Bank (Luxembourg), Banque Esperito Santo et de la Vénétie (France), and member of the Board and the Audit & Risk Committee of ISP Private Bank (Suisse) S.A.
Since April 2018, Mr. Velle is also member of the Board of Directors of Morval Vonwiller Holding S.A and of Banque Morval S.A.
- Gerhard Auer - Membro
Gerhard Auer holds a Bachelor in Business administration from the Geneva University and is a Qualified Accountant since 1986.
He has worked for several years within the audit firms and has held various positions in the banking and finance industry, especially serving as Member of the Board of Directors or internal auditor.
He is currently member of the Board of Directors at Banque Morval SA and acts as Audit Representative on behalf of the Directors.
- Andrea Chioatto - Membro
Andrea Chioatto graduated in Business administration from the Luigi Bocconi University.
Prior to joining the Intesa Group, he held executive positions with multinational companies (Unilever/UCI), after working in the auditing and financial statements audit area.
He subsequently served as the Manager of Cost Control, SLA and Investments of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, reporting directly to the CFO, and he participated in the creation of the consortium company Intesa Sanpaolo Group Services (ISGS).
In 2013/2014 he was the Manager of the Product Company in charge of creating the Business Finance Hub (Mediocredito, Leasing and Factoring) within the Banca dei Territori Division, initiating the process for the incorporation of the Consumer Credit sector into Intesa Sanpaolo and the spin-off of the Medium and Long Term non-performing loans to Capital Light Bank.
Since July 2015, he has been the General Co-Director and Manager of the Fideuram - Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking S.p.A. Operations and Finance area.
He has been a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank (Suisse) Board of Directors’ since 2016.
Since April 2018, Mr. Chioatto is also member of the Board of Directors of Banque Morval SA.
